A Gotcha Variation
A variation of the original "Gotcha" pattern.
The addition of the rubber legs gives a little more movement to attract attention. Particularly effective where small crustaceans are the prey.

Hook:
#6 to #2 Gamakatsu SL45 (called panfish hook in Aus)
Thread:
fluoro orange flat waxed
Materials:
Body - orange thread overwrapped with pearl krystalflash
Tail - pearl krystalflash
Wing - tan craft fur
Legs- tan and orange spinnerbait skirt
Eyes - silver or gold barbell
Instructions:
1. With the hook the right way up, lay down a base of thread for the full length of the hook shank and finish with the thread just behind the hook eye.
2. Attach the barbell eyes one and a half hook eyes widths back from the hook eye using figure of eight wraps.
3. Take four or five strands of flash, double around thread and attach behind the eyes and over wrap with thread back to the bend. Trim tail.
4. Tie in another four of five strands of flash behind the eyes and over wrap back to the bend. Move thread up to in front of the eyes.
5. Wrap body material around shank back up to the eyes, hold between the eyes, tie off and trim excess.
6. Apply some head cement or 'Hard as Nails' to the body and put aside to dry. This will prolong the life of the fly.
7. Turn the fly over and attach two or three rubber legs in front of the eyes. Trim to about the length of the hook.
8. Take a small clump of craft fur, hand stack to even the tips, trim the butt end so overall length is twice that of the hook. Attach behind the hook eye.
9. Apply head cement sparingly to head area only. Take care not to allow it to leech
back into the wing material.
