BEECAM NIPPER
Variation of original pattern by Chris Beech and Cameron Jones

Hook:
#2 to #6 Mustad 34007
Thread:
Red flat waxed
Materials:
Antennae – pearl krystalflash
Tail – gold or light tan polafibre or craft fur
Body – dubbed gold or light tan polafibre or craft fur
Centre body – red or orange krystalflash (simulated roe)
Collar – gold or light tan polafibre or craft fur
Eyes – black bead chain
Instructions:
1. Lay down a base of thread and attach eyes above the hook point.
2. Attach two strands of krystalflash so that they extend by about the hook length past the bend.
3. Select a small bunch of polafibre, hand stack so the tips are relatively even, trim to length equivalent to length of the shank and tie in as the tail.
4. Dub the off-cut from the previous step onto the thread and wrap around the eyes.
5. Double 4-5 strands of red or orange krystalflash around the thread and tie-in behind the head. Move thread forward.
6. Wrap the krystalflash around the shank to build up the centre part of the body up to half way along the shank. Tie off and trim excess. Apply a little head cement to secure.
7. Dub some polafibre onto the thread and form the back part of the body to just behind the hook eye.
8. Tie-in the collar of polafibre so that it surrounds the hook shank and
extends just past the eyes. Form a neat head, whip finish and apply head cement.
