Hook:
#4 to 2/0 Mustad 34007

Thread:
Flat waxed in colour to match wing or body

Materials:
Body – chenille

Wing – bucktail and a few strands of krystalflash

Tail – hackle coated with softex

Eyes – barbell paint optional

Instructions for feather preparation:

Place a even smear of thin softex on a piece of glass or grease proof paper, lay the feather onto the softex and using a bobkin carefully move the tip of the feather around to form a semi-circle. Even out the shape using the bobkin. When dry, remove from glass, place another light smear of softex on the glass and place the untreated side of the feather down. Remove when dry and trim to shape.
