Fly Tying Classes

Fly tying is undoubtedly an art form that has had more books written about it than any other aspect of the sport.

This volume of information and the availability of numerous materials can be very daunting for the beginner. It is not all that difficult, if you know the basics, you can imitate virtually any form that fish feed on. One of the great satisfactions of the sport is to catch a fish on a fly you have devised and tied yourself.

Full-day classes are conducted on a regular basis and these cover the basic techniques used to attach natural materials such as hair and feathers as well as the vast array of synthetic materials. This knowledge and skills will enable you to construct most of the popular patterns.

Those completing the course will receive a FREE CD containing all the information covered as well as detailed tying  instructions for over 50 fly patterns suitable for  estuary, flats, offshore and freshwater impoundments.

See the “Courses Calendar” for dates and other details.
